2021 Grenache
Sourced from Damon Wilson’s one acre block of dry grown 90+ year old vines located in Cockatoo Valley. This is the only wine we produce that is not from the Northern Barossa. The crop for 2021 was substantially larger at 1.2 tonnes/acre compared to the miniscule yield in 2020 at 0.35 tonnes/acre. Hand picked then 100% destemmed. Cold soaked for 72 hours. Hand plunged 2-3 times daily during fermentation. Lightly pressed to seasoned French Oak. Bottled in May 2022.
